A Tale of Two MPs

Akus’ excellent post on Andy Slaughter, Labour MP for Ealing, Acton and Sheperds Bush prompted me to compare Andy Slaughter’s bio in the Guardian with that of Adam Ingram, Labour MP for East Kilbride, Strathaven and Lesmahagow.
First here’s Andy Slaughter’s bio:

Now compare this against Adam Ingram’s bio:


Why the comparison? Well both are Labour MPs and both have written debut articles for “Comment is Free” on the subject of Hamas, one yesterday and one just under two weeks ago.
Yet why is it that the Guardian sees fit to include in Adam Ingram’s bio that he is chair of the Labour Friends of Israel “Handling Hamas” project and exclude from Andy Slaughter’s bio that he is a member of the Britain-Palestine All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) and on the Policy Committee of Labour Friends of Palestine and the Middle East. Its not as if this information is not in the public domain. Here’s what it says in the “About” section of Slaughter’s website:

Oversight or just another example of the anti-Israel bias that plagues Guardian coverage?
