A neighbor of Daniel Tamar, the boy critically injured by Hamas rocket attack, speaks about the “boy who lives next door”

Here is a brief email I received from Carmi Wisemon, a neighbor of Daniel Tamar, the boy critically injured by a Hamas rocket on Thursday, in response my inquiry. This post merely represents an attempt to humanize and provide color to Israeli victims of terror – and to counter the often callous reports about such Israelis by The Guardian and much of the mainstream media.  As of today, reports are that Daniel is in critical condition and still fighting for his life.

Daniel is a very sweet, polite and athletic boy he lives next door to me. He goes to Yeshiva, is studious and as youngster used to be into Karate. His father is Israeli and his mother is from Hong Kong (Jewish) British background. They made Aliya around 10-12 years ago. Leaving a successful business in order to comeback to Israel. Today they are working people running a local Chinese food takeout and catering.

They are EXTREMELY sweet and gentle people. I see Daniel every morning waiting for the bus to take him to school and we’d always say hello.

His daughter is the closest friends of my older daughters, just the night before they went out for pizza.

Daniel was in the area visiting his grandmother (father’s mother) when his bright yellow school bus  was targeted by a Palestinian terrorist with an  Anti Tank Missile.

His situation is critical: another innocent casualty of anti-Israel hate.
