An August 12, 2012 edition of the Guardian’s ‘24 hours in pictures‘, included this.
The caption read:
“Rafah, Gaza: A Palestinian man looks out from a destroyed house near the border crossing with Egypt.”
The photograph was taken by Ali Ali.
As that photo looked quite familiar, I did a quick search and, lo and behold, that same building illustrated a Guardian report, titled “Israeli negotiation expert has NHS workshop cancelled after union protests” by Harriet Sherwood on April 30.
Hmmm. It’s the same house in Gaza, and same photo journalist, Ali Ali.
I wonder what brought the Palestinian in the most recent Guardian photo to the same abandoned home.
Perhaps we’ll never know.
