We recently posted about an article at Times of London (The Times) by Abeer Ayyoub (Name of Arab boy taken off Israeli shrine, April 23) which included the following claim about murdered Palestinian teen Muhammed Abu Khdeir:
We noted that both The Guardian, AFP and Times of Israel – following communication with UK Media Watch and colleagues at CAMERA’s Israel office – corrected their initial false claims that the decision by Israeli authorities to include Abu Khdeir represented the first time that a Palestinian killed by Jewish Israelis was listed on the terror victims’ memorial.
We complained to Times of London and are awaiting a response.
In the meantime, however, we were in contact with the Times of London journalist on Facebook (where she had posted a copy of the print edition of her story), urging her to facilitate a correction.
As you can see from a snapshot of our communication, Ms. Ayyoub acknowledged the message.
