UKMW prompts Guardian correction to Western Wall photo caption

As we've noted in countless posts, Judaism's holiest site is the Temple Mount, not the Western Wall. UK Media Watch previously prompted corrections on this same issue at The Independent, and Telegraph.

As we noted in a recent post, the Guardian published an egregiously one-sided article on March 19th warning that women’s rights in Israel were being eroded – an article illustrated by a photo with a caption erroneously claiming that the Western Wall is Judaism’s holiest site.

We then tweeted the Guardian’s picture editor notifying her of the error.

By the following morning, the caption had been corrected and no longer claims that the Western Wall is Judaism’s holiest site.

As we’ve noted in countless posts, Judaism’s holiest site is the Temple Mount, not the Western Wall.   We’ve previously prompted corrections on this same issue at The Independent, and The Telegraph.
