AN OVERVIEW OF BBC WEBSITE REPORTING ON PESSAH ROCKET ATTACKS

To summarise, three of the 194 terror attacks which occurred during April were reported by the BBC News website, along with the rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip.

Throughout the first four months of 2023 the BBC News website reported 2.2% of the terror attacks which actually took place and 89.5% of the resulting fatalities.

With regard to BBC News website coverage of Israel’s counter-terrorism operations, the corporation’s reporting continues to fail to adequately inform audiences how many of the Palestinian casualties were members of terrorist organisations and/or males involved in violence at the time.

Of the twelve Palestinian or Israeli Arab casualties during April, seven were killed while carrying out attacks. At least six were affiliated with terrorist organisations and three were members of the Palestinian Authority’s security forces.

Details of Palestinian casualties in previous months can be found here.
