Indy corrects sentence alleging that Israel began the Oct. 7th war.

The Independent published a report on Israel’s early morning pre-emptive strike on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon (“Middle East crisis live: Netanyahu vows Israeli strikes in Lebanon ‘not the end’ as Hezbollah retaliates“, Aug. 25), written by Stuti Mishra and Tom Watling, that concluded with the following ‘context’:

We tweeted and complained to editors about this astonishing inversion of reality, which blamed Israel, and NOT Hamas, for starting the war on Oct. 7th.  Shortly thereafter, the sentence was corrected to the following:

The Indy, however, failed to include an editor’s note acknowledging the error and noting the correction.

    But it’s still a downright lie.

    Israel did not begin an incursion into Gaza on 7th Oct.

    Where do they find these agenda-driven eejits?
