BBC NEWS COVERAGE OF TERRORISM IN ISRAEL – NOVEMBER 2024

The Israel Security Agency’s report on terror attacks during November 2024 shows that throughout the month a total of 423 incidents took place in Judea & Samaria, Jerusalem and within the ‘green line’. The agency recorded 52 attacks with petrol bombs, 30 attacks using pipe bombs, 305 incidents of rock throwing, thirteen shooting attacks, 19 arson attacks, one stabbing attack and three vehicular attacks.

89 attacks were thwarted throughout the month and 251 terror related arrests were made.

In addition, 76 missiles were launched into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip and 3,597 missiles were launched from Lebanon or Syria throughout November. The ISA report does not include casualties from attacks related to Operation Swords of Iron or Operation Northern Arrows.

Fifteen people were injured in attacks in Judea & Samaria, Jerusalem and inside the ‘green line’ during November.

On November 13th two members of the security forces were injured in a vehicular attack near Deir Kadis.

On November 29th nine people – seven civilians and two members of the security forces – were injured in a shooting attack on a bus at the Gitai Avisar junction which was claimed by Hamas.

Visitors to the BBC News website’s ‘Middle East’ page did not see any stand-alone reporting on those attacks or any others.

Throughout the first eleven months of 2024, the BBC News website reported 0.4% of the terror attacks which took place and 71% of the resulting fatalities.
