The Times corrects false claim about Jerusalem terror attack

A Times article by Gabrielle Weiniger about the Palestinian terror attack in Jerusalem earlier in the week that killed six, (“Jerusalem shooting: six killed in attack at bus stop are named“, Sept. 8)m included the following claim:

The incident marks the first serious terrorism attack in the city since the beginning of the Gaza war.

As we noted in a complaint to Times editors, this is not accurate. A shooting attack at a busy Jerusalem junction by two Palestinian terrorists killed three Israelis on November 30, 2023.

Our complaint was upheld, the sentence above removed, and the following added:
The last incident took place in November 2023, when two gunmen from east Jerusalem opened fire from a vehicle towards civilians waiting at a bus stop, killing three people.
