Visitors to the BBC News website have in recent days seen two reports credited to BBC Jerusalem bureau journalists that promote claims made by staff at the Hamas health ministry-run Nasser hospital in Khan Younis.

The bodies arrive in Gaza thoroughly frozen and can take several days to thaw out, ruling out even basic identification methods like dental history, let alone any deeper investigation or post-mortem (autopsy).”
Investigative journalist David Collier provides details of Dr Ahmed Dheir’s Hamas role that are predictably absent from Williamson’s account and her report also quotes another Hamas official called Sameh Yassin Hamad.

At Nasser hospital, the director of paediatrics and maternity, Dr Ahmed al-Farra, expresses his frustration.
“It’s the most difficult feeling for a doctor to be present, able to diagnose a condition but unable to carry out essential tests and lacking the necessary treatments,” Dr al-Farra says. “This has happened in so many cases, and unfortunately, there’s daily loss of life due to our lack of capabilities.””
BBC audiences are not informed of Dr al-Farra’s record of promotion of dubious claims in media interviews or his denial of the well known exploitation of medical facilities – including the Nasser hospital – by Hamas and other terrorist organisations.
Of course none of the journalists credited with producing those two articles were actually reporting from the Gaza Strip. As noted in Williamson’s report, they rely to one extent or another on information provided by “colleagues on the ground”: the usually unidentified local journalists with whom the BBC has been working for most of the past two years.
While it has long been known that Hamas held hostages in Nasser hospital and that it has used that facility as an operational base and police ‘investigations unit’, days prior to the appearance of those two BBC articles, new reports emerged concerning Hamas’ recent use of that hospital (and others) as a detention and interrogation centre.
BBC audiences have seen some recent reporting on the topic of fighting between Hamas and rival clans, along with limited coverage of Hamas executions of or violent attacks on people it claimed had committed crimes. Footage of some of the attacks carried out by Hamas’ ‘Arrow unit’ is available online. OSINT analyst Middle East Buka traced the locations of some of the videos that appeared in the days before the appearance of the above two BBC reports.

By correlating visual anchors including a broken ambulance, a blue-back truck, and an orange-blue storage box and through precise geolocation and cross-verification with reference footage, it can be determined that this specific corner of the hospital compound was likely used by Hamas’s Arrow Unit as a base during its pre- and post-ceasefire campaign.”
In short, while neither the BBC’s Jerusalem bureau nor, apparently, the ‘trusted local journalists’ on whom it relies have anything to tell BBC audiences about those events or about Hamas’ wider use of Nasser hospital, the corporation is quite happy to publish Israel-besmirching content based on claims made by staff at that same Hamas-exploited institution.
The selective reporting and reporting by omission have been trademark fingerprints by the slimey pro Islamic corporation since the eighties, the British public have had enough of their nonsense. It is time to stop the licence fee and time to wind up BBC News as it is a toxic entity hell bent on denigrating Israel and the UK a Christian country, in favour of the barbaric religion whose demonstration of superiority took place in Tower Hamlets yesterday #defundthebbc
BBC “journalists” have a sly evil habit of distorting facts by the deliberate omission of key words from their “reports” which then conveys to the listener/viewer/reader the opposite of what they were reporting.
Williamson reported “”Hundreds of patients could be treated easily and efficiently in a short time if this route reopened to the East Jerusalem Hospital Network and the hospitals in the West Bank,” says Dr Fadi Atrash, CEO of the Augusta Victoria Hospital on the Mount of Olives.” but it is strange that as “East” Jerusalem is under Israeli sovereignty the CEO is expecting Israel to foot the bill. Further, the two Jewish Jerusalem hospitals of Share Zedek and Hadassah are widely used by the Arabs because they dont trust places like the Agustus Victoria !
