BBC NEWS COVERAGE OF TERRORISM IN ISRAEL – DECEMBER 2025 & YEAR END SUMMARY

The Israel Security Agency’s report on terror attacks during December 2025 shows that a total of 350 incidents took place in Judea & Samaria, Jerusalem and within the ‘green line’. The agency recorded 37 attacks with petrol bombs, 18 attacks using pipe bombs, 261 incidents of rock throwing, 26 arson attacks, two shooting attacks, two stabbing attacks and four vehicular attacks.

Ninety-four serious attacks were thwarted throughout the month and 275 terror-related arrests were made.

The ISA did not document any rocket attacks in December and its report does not include incidents in the Gaza Strip.

Two civilians were murdered and seven people were injured in incidents in Judea & Samaria, Jerusalem and inside the ‘green line’ during December.

On December 2^nd two members of the security forces were injured in a stabbing attack on route 465 near Ateret which did not receive any coverage on the BBC News website.

Two civilians were murdered and three people were injured by a Palestinian terrorist who carried out combined vehicular and stabbing attacks in Beit Shean, Ein Harod and Afula on December 26^th. The BBC News website covered those attacks but its report – despite having been amended several days later – still only mentions one of the injured.

OMISSION AND MISINFORMATION IN BBC REPORT ON TERROR ATTACK

Throughout the year 2025, the BBC News website reported 0.29% of the terror attacks which took place and 76% of the fatalities.

The last time that the BBC News website reported all of the terror related fatalities throughout a whole year was in 2021. In the decade prior to the year 2025, an average of 79.2% of the fatalities resulting from Palestinian terror attacks were reported by the BBC.
