BBC NEWS COVERAGE OF TERRORISM IN ISRAEL – JANUARY 2026

The Israel Security Agency’s report on terror attacks during January 2026 shows that a total of 312 incidents took place in Judea & Samaria, Jerusalem and within the ‘green line’. The agency recorded 27 attacks with petrol bombs, 10 attacks using pipe bombs, 258 incidents of rock throwing, 16 arson attacks and one stabbing attack.

89 serious attacks were thwarted throughout the month and 321 terror-related arrests were made.

The ISA documented one rocket launch from the Gaza Strip in January.

Eight people were injured in incidents in Judea & Samaria, Jerusalem and inside the ‘green line’ during January, including a member of the security forces wounded by gunfire in Nablus. The suspect – a Hamas terrorist – was arrested the following day.

None of those incidents received any coverage on the BBC News website and stories concerning the prevention of weapons smuggling and the thwarting of a 12 million shekel cash transfer from Jordan to terror groups in Judea & Samaria were likewise ignored.
