New BBC Middle East bureau chief

The BBC’s Middle East bureau will have a new head as of next month:

Since October 2016 Jo Floto has been the editor of the BBC World Service radio programmes ‘Newshour’, ‘World Update’, ‘Weekend’ and ‘Witness’ and the BBC Radio 4 programme ‘The World Tonight’.

He previously headed the BBC’s Asia bureau and before that was based at the BBC’s Jerusalem office, including during Operation Cast Lead in 2008/9.

Whether or not Floto will also be based in Jerusalem this time round is currently unclear.

As he’s a BBC man, I expect he’ll continue the dishonest and anti Israel line that the BBC seems to require or insist its reporters adopt.
Yolanda Knell must be sacked because she’s an egrious distorter of news – to the point of dishonesty.

The BBC’s Jerusalem office is a hotbed of antisemitism and Iranian propaganda.
It should be closed forthwith and replaced by a new patriotic Israeli media team.
