Why was this deleted?

I posted recently about a comment thread in a recent CiF post on universal jurisdiction in the UK which was completely dominated by readers intent on vilifying Israel – comments which the CiF moderator deemed perfectly acceptable regardless of how far off-topic some of the anti-Israel invectives were.

In “Obama doctrine? If only” (CiF, April 3) Michael Boyle’s criticism of the U.S. President’s decision to use military force in Libya produced this:

So while nurturing Guardian readers’ hateful obsession with Israel is perfectly acceptable, demonstrating the egregious double standards by which Israel is routinely treated doesn’t “abide by [their] community standards.”
