Glasgow Times removes false “Palestinian state” claim

A Sept 4th article in the Glasgow Times, “Israel v Scotland: Pro-Palestine protesters take to Hampden”, included the following sentence:

 

As we pointed out to editors, and in a tweet to the journalist, there has of course never been a state of ‘Palestine’.  Though the sentence was deleted from the article shortly after our complaint, contrary to normal journalistic standards, there was no editor’s note informing readers of the correction.
